Water Street / Water Lane junction, Chesterton, Cambridge.
A minority of cyclists travelling downstream along the river use this cycleway to turn right onto Water Street. Most, especially those coaching rowing, do not cross Water Street and proceed either the up Water Street on the wrong side of the road or on the pavement.
The road here is often busy, with fast traffic. There are often badly maintained old cars and vans being driven badly on the road. There are also many HGVs.
