Used as a rat run even though it is a main school/village route. Close to motor traffic between Nursery Lane and Bramble Drive.
Remove traffic from Lansdowne/Birchwood/George St by closing road here for motor traffic (plenty of space for turning head).
Fast traffic and narrow pavements make it unpleasant and dangerous to walk along here. Close the road, at the junction with Chapel Street, to motor traffic.

Cyclists and walkers have great difficulties in crossing from The Walks to the opposite side of road as very busy road and often Traffic stands still at the railway crossing.
